Fill in Players

If you require a fill in player for your team and you use a player from another team, you need to ensure they are allowed to play in your grade (otherwise your team will forfeit points if they win). Please check with your Age Group Co-ordinator to ensure the player qualifies to play in your grade.

Some important things to remember:

• You can only have enough fill in players to give your team a 5th or 6th player.  If you already have 6 players available, additional fill in players are not allowed
• To be sure a fill in player is elligible to play in your team, they should come from an age group younger and a grade lower than your team.
• "A grade" players are not permitted to play in the D grade of any competitions (even older age groups)
• Players who play for another club in the same competition are NOT alllowed to fill in for another club.
• Every time a team fails to field a team, there is a $130 fee,  so it’s best to avoid it if you can.  As a last resort to avoid fines, you can use a player who isn’t eligible to fill in.  This will just mean you forfeit any points for winning, but it’s better than paying.
• A player can only "fill in" for 3 games, any more than that and they will need to register for the team

 It is best to contact your Co-ordinator to ensure any fill in players are eligible.  However, if it’s last minute, these points will give you a guide.  The full Fill in guide table is available below.

When you have found a fill in player, you will need to add their full details to your list.

• If the electronic scoring system is being used, you will need to add a new player to your team list.  See the instructions in step 7 of the electronic scoring manual.
• If the written sheet is being used, you will need to add the players details (usually name and date of birth) on the back of the sheet.  The player should sign next to this.
